After a lovely evening out with Kim at the George and Dragon in the village of Swallowfield,  today we all set off for a day in Bournemouth.

The weather was playing a better game than it had been but it was still a little cold.

We headed straight to the famous Harry Ramsden’s for fish and chips and mushy peas (not so sure about those but the fish was great).

Then we set out to explore the town – it was overcast but the town has a lovely feel to it. The seafront and promenade are set up well for families to enjoy and the stroll along the stream to the town centre is very pretty.

Later we walked along the seafront – and yes there really are beach huts – these ones revamped in lovely shades of blues, greens and purples.

Now we are back in Reading, sipping beautiful French champagne – it was great to come home to the news that The All Blacks had smashed Ireland 60-0!!
